This isnt open world
After watching some videos, realized that this game isnt open world compare to old Baldur's Gate. Just have to keep going through the same chapters, gonna get bored when you like to make a different character later on.

Correct me if i am wrong, i got this on wish list and though about grabbing it, but i didnt like how things are setup in there.

BG was an open world game, BG 2 was not an open world game, BG 3 is not an open world game. And?
Nobody asked.

It’s not in the sense you’re thinking. You do have the option of which quests to go do in what order (quest outcomes can change other quests, etc). So it’s open in that sense.

The writing and story allows for multiple approaches and outcomes though. The replayability lies there.

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 were not Open world games, where did you get that?
It had quite small maps that were connect by a world map, loading screens between each
BG3 is lot bigger really, maps are few but far larger and packed with content and not many loading screens.
If you like cPRGs just buy it, it is the best cRPG created to this date by far.
There so many permutations to each story and quest and lvl of detail is unparalleled.

Nope -- and to top it all off it's an incredibly short game. ACT 1 is 2/3 of the total game content. Fantasy RPGs need a massive world.

The game was released because early access revenue stream was drying up. Developers themselves thought the game had peaked during early access. Game deserved another 2-3 years of development to really perfect the game and create a massive world to explore.

Dont get me wrong, love those two Baldur's Gate and you can roam any directions you like on both games. But in this one, look like you will be stuck doing the same thing all over again if you like to make a different character.

Btw the videos i saw on youtube that has ESO owner, a guy wanted to play evil as a half-orc paladin. Well it should have been a dread guard, paladins are suppose to be holy warrior, etc. So he made this orc look ugly, mean and evil looking. Heh pumped up charisma up to 14 i think, there no way that has good charisma!

Idk some players have no ideas what they are doing and part of it doesnt make sense. Should have better rule sets for that price of the game.

Glad i didnt buy it!

Act 1 took me 40hrs
Act 2 another 40hrs.
Just arrive to the city. I'm sure you can rush it but if you explore it's huge.

You have much more freedom min BG3 than in BG1&2. It's not even close.

Some games as previous series that has it, may not mention on the store and not enough details about the game. Look like this one made a wrong turn on developing it, esp how things are setup.

So yes, this is one way ticket.
