Phase Spider Matriarch fell down

I blew the matriarch into the deep with a gust of wind from Gale and I’m worried I’m missing out on some good loot now. Is it worth reloading my save and killing her so I can loot instead of cheesing her to death?

Thats actually the best strategy if you think about it... but I didn't know if it was possible, it wasn't how Sin Tee did it in his solo playthrough that I watched.

The loot is ♥♥♥♥. The only reason to kill her properly is for the challenge or the XP (not sure if you get that by pushing her down).
Since you just fancy the loot: no its not. But you will always know in your soul that you cheaped out.

The loot is meh unless you are a very specific type of wiz/sorc/warl caster. But don't forget to find two other really useful things right in the immediate vicinity of that battle:

There's a waypoint is just beyond her area's pillars

There's a special gem down low near the big hole that is for The Necromancy of Thay book.

I run a sorc but I’m not going for a specific build, I don’t know enough of the game for that yet. I did indeed find the waypoint and the gem, thx for the heads up tho.
I did also get 250xp for cheesing the fight so that’s nice.

I’m glad that I’m not missing out on much because that would have been a real save scum fight for my lvl 3 party!

Did that by accident aswell, the robe she drops isn't amazing stat wise but it looks ace - very drow like.

If you push the matriarch off the side cliff, you get XP, but no loot
If you push her off the center hole, you get no XP, but the loot will stay at the bottom waiting for you

Something similar happened to me. But it was weird because I was fighting her, and then she tried to escape using her teleport ability. Next, I didn't see her again on the map. I search through the map and even destroy all the eggs thinking that was going to bring her back. But no...

No, her loot isn't that good.

Reload and kill her honestly like a real man... by using lots of barrels and making her fall off her web bridges for falling damage.

I genuinely though that she scaped, but now I'm thinking that maybe she fell off by herself.

Apparantly if you knock her off the cliff she falls to the underdark and you can take the loot down there. This does NOT work if you push her into the round hole in the middle of the arena.

I accidentally pushed it into the chasm, so no loot. Didn't pay attention if I got the XP, but I guess I should have.
