The problem of Minecraft is it's been released along one decade or two, no proper release, that's not manageable for a GOTY, Y=Year. not Decade.

I didn't know lol, a type of game I cannot bare.

Well it probably didn't sold that much this year of 1.0.0, checked, it's Skyrim than got the GOTY.

You can't compare with BG3 EA, Minecraft is not a one year game release. And if BG3 was a classic EA it would have pay it but it's not, no complete game during EA.

Zelda wins because of popularity and nostalgia by default. I would personally pick BG3 for this year i even enjoyed Howgarts Legacy more than the new Zelda.

Don't understand Zelda's popularity tbh.

People whine about lazy, empty open world Ubisoft games and Zelda comes along with one of the laziest and emptiest open worlds ever and gets lots of praise.

According to its com it is very very far to be a regular Bethesda's game. All Betheda games since Morrowind have a similar blueprint, and bam Starfiled is a revolution and is marvelous on any aspects:
- Thousand of planets fun to play, yeah sure.
- Procedural generation, they haven't made it since 20 years, no game still have made it properly with detailed 3D, yeah sure.
- For combats ok it seems it will be the first Bethesda ever with good combats, but they didn't show procedural combats, I bet same crap than before.
- Too much more to allow me remind.

It's so obviously too good to be true, but nope, everybody is blind or put their brain in some box, and believe the com. It's Bethesda out of their comfort zone and they'll do all perfectly or even very well? I don't believe one second in the miracle.

But anyway let wait release we will see.
