Can't unequip weapon

Been replacing my weapon whenever i get something better and it was going fine until i found one called "Larethian's Wrath" and now that i found something better i realized i cannot unequip it. I've even tried throwing the weapon... The animation plays, but the item doesn't actually leave my character.

Is this a bug? I'm wondering cause when trying to replace it with another weapon the warning message literally says "Larethian's Wrath cannot be unequipped"

Haven't encountered that weapon so I don't know, it might be cursed though - if you have access to 'remove curse' you could try that ( 3rd level spell available to Paladins, Clerics, Warlocks and Wizards )

Cursed weapon?

Most cursed Items in DnD have a paragraph in their discription that your character can't part or unattune themselve while cursed.

Obviously the fact an item is cursed is hidden in the discription until the the item gets identified

I have the same issue with another longsword. Not cursed, or have any negatives listed on the character sheet. For reference the sword is Phalar Aluve

I found it's a bug with my druid. It seems going to wild shape and then back after a long rest let me remove it.

yea i was able to take it off after a while. no idea what happened cuz i did long rested and wild shape but didn't change anything. it just randomly let me unequip it

I have the same thing on my druid. But for some reason after 3 long rests and about 8 hours of play time, I am still unable to remove it.

Had this bug. You can sale your weapon while your character in wild shape. Worked for me.

This is a glitch I have encountered playing Druid, simply shapeshift and go back to regular form and you'll be able to change your equipped main-hand weapon again.

It's a bug. My sword literally is about peace and purity, definitely not cursed. It fixed it when jaehira wildshape then long rest.

It happens when you wildshape into a myrmidon wildshaping into an animal and back fixes it for me

^this. I literally just had this happen after shifting into water myrmidon for the first time. changed into a cat and back, problem solved.
