Implying your main character is just your average joe who found a stick in his backyard to utilize as a weapon.

Everyone in your party is unusual. Shadowheart is by far the least unusual (and due to that also the most popular companion apparently); she's just a Shar worshipper with no additional strange quirks. Depending on how you develop her arc she can become even more "normal".

It was implied that I'm talking about companions and interactable main characters. There are plenty of regular women walking around as NPCs everywhere but the developers refused to make a normal companion. Instead the developers cater to extremes.

Normal isn't exactly, normal, in this game's world. Shadowheart is probably about as close to a human female as you will get.

I mean, sure it's a shame that there are no human female companions, but thems the brakes.
