Cant change name/edit character after intro - WHY???

Literally having to restart entire game because I didnt realize there was another character in this game who would be in my party with a name that ends with "ron". I named my character Alaron (From Aydin Chronicles). now it just looks weird af beside "Astarion". I know it seems OCD, but I am OCD and this stuff literally ruins my entire playthrough. I could live with my characters face not being my favourite, but the name thing is actually making me so depressed lol

Also yeah, why cant I edit my characters face? Im super unhappy with that as well.

well he doesn't end in Ron, he ends in Rion.

Plus its DnD, Most vampires & drow/Elves will have on/ion in their names.

i wont judge. i have strange little things like this too.

so far though there doesn't appear to be a edit name, edit character or edit ANYTHING after the intro.

Larian are a bunch of clowns at a circus for not including basic features. even dragon's dogma got this right on it's first try.

people are focusing way too much on the nude, sex and sexuality stuff when the game is lacking key features that make a game good.

Dude thats literally semantics. That doesnt change anything. Do you think I cannot read? its too similar and it bothers me end of story. They should have given us the option to edit our character

Totally agreed. Im actually really pissed about this. They expect me to restart after like 6 hours I guess and I work full time. I dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ want to.

thanks for only reading one sentence, the next one says its a DnD game, and the lore makes sure that your name ending in ron or Rion isn't unique.

Open the hand book, and start reading.

Its a videogame. Make it fun and accessible. I want to edit my characters face, hair and name. Its the year 2023.

So, have you met Withers yet? I get that you're upset that Larian has inadvertently interfered in your copyright infringement, and I haven't actually tried to respec a character yet to know, since I did what I needed when I rolled them up, but there is a way to respec, although I don't know if you can rename when you do it.

I am perfectly happy with my characters class and abilities. Thats not the problem. its 100% appearance and character name

like I understand no respeccing or something, but NO APPEARANCE CHANGE OR NAME CHANGE? I legitimately havent gone off on a game this hard ever. I have never been so upset with a new rpg. 6 hours in and I need to erase my character. Literally ZEROOOOOO desire to even bother now. IDC if thats short to some ppl. I work 6 days a week.

Learn how to not care. I literally made the most MANLY dark urge Half-Drow with a mustache, but screwed up making him a woman in the gender thing. Now everyone calls me ''lady'' and ''she''. I just roleplay that my character is so manly and his masculinity is so strong that he doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥.

I commend you for being able to look past that but theres zero chance I can get into my rpg with a "silly" character. I spend like 2 hours on my character creation for every rpg. It is essential for my immersion and enjoyment as that character

To you, its trivial. To me, it is essential to my enjoyment and immersion in an rpg like this.
