Tried freeing him before and after killing them, no change :(
Yeah I believe the new patch caused it. I already reported it so hopefully they'll address it soon
If you take the quest to help the goblins attack the grove it asks you to camp first, but if you leave the area and come back (which requeres you to camp) the quest breaks, the attack sort of begins ie they send 2 goblins to the gates, but the goblin leader is nowhere to be found and the scene doesnt play, tieflings are lying dead in front of the village path and thats it.
Fixed it by throwing one of the bodies into the hole or whatever it's called. The marker was now gone from the map, since the body was gone as well. Quicksaved after this. Tried to dump other bodies, but they were too heavy and I had to reload. The druid completed the quest after this quicksave reload. I guess, fixing that 1 quest marker was enough for the game to go on with the scripts.
this is good troubleshooting advice that will probably work for other such bugs in the future. Often times all you need to do is get the game to interact with that flag via a check, usually changing locations or loading the game again. I wonder if you cast speak with dead on their bodies if that would make it re-check to see if they are dead.
