Monk and Druid thoughts?
I have seen very actual feedback for both of these. Is anyone using either as their Player character? How does monk compare to other martial classes, is it fun to use?

How is the druid? I cant find so little information online about people using either of these classes, but i am interested in these two the most.

does it feel a bit lacking? is there a lot of gear to help with that or that a bit lacking too?

I'm using Monk. Respecced them like 5 times to try different paths. Extremely bad class for the first few levels because you run out of your resource pretty much instantly.

After a while monk transitions into a more CC oriented barbarian with more movement speed, more AC but less health and about the same damage. The class seems to scale well into late-game. I'm currently level 9 and every level monk starts to deal more damage than barbarian. Good perception, dexterity and wisdom - all three of which are invaluable in this game.

You can also play them as a stealth class, but I never tried because that's boring.

Druid is pretty interesting because of its versatility, and Wild Shape gives you a lot of options for exploration and melee utility. Their spell list is a mix of primarily healing and battlefield control, with a small handful of direct damage options, with Spike Growth and Plant Growth being particularly strong standout spells.

I played circle of spores in my first playthrough. Im in act 3 and really enjoy the class. I'll be honest though I didnt wild shape till I unlocked the Owl bear. Just did Symbiotic entity everytime. They fill a spell caster roll pretty nicely and do have decent options on utility and healing. but druids can be played in a variety of different ways

I have a shadow monk on my second playthrouhg, and monks are huge damage dealers but very susceptible to damage, so glass cannons
Spell actions (such as repositioningbMoonbeam, or Calling Ligjtning) should be useable in Wildshape.

Monk is pretty good, and multiclass well with some classes like paladin. Druid was a bit disappointing to me, specially because we can shapeshift with any class into a displacer beast with Illithid powers .

In the end of the day, I believe most people fluctuate to CHA based characters so their character can be the party face.

Monk is only good for UD and stuns - and Str based Tav Brawlers.

Sadly even with the improvements larian has made monk seems a bit too dependent on multiple ability scores.

I really wish Wizards would take a que from Pathfinder 2e monks and implement something similar to their stance mechanic as depending what stance you use in that game it either negates the need to have one of the stats or adds awesome passives on (heck their monk doesn't even need wisdom unless they want to do use ki to mimic other classes spells, even dropping it entirely it does excellent just beating stuff to death and being a grappling monster)

Druid Wildshape is OP in the first 3 levels when you have very few resources or health. Two wildshapes per fight means Druids have 80 health when the average barbarian has 30. But respec them to tempest clerics around level 5 because their wildshape damage sucks later on.

How so? They seem fairly "average" with their needs; cha, str and int dump. Dex main, Wis second, Con whatever you have left.

That's the beauty of multi class.

Druid 7 + colossus slayer ranger 5 gets you multi attack and an extra d8 once per turn.

Been playing monk up to lvl 6. Way of the open hand.

Rough start, but gets a lot better.
He does more damage unarmed than with the legendary mace from the monastery.
He does 3 attacks per turn and outdamages my 2-hand fighter while also being more consistent.
He can cc well enough, I use 6 "prone" attacks per short rest.

I wanted to try more melee stuff, but 3 of them is too many and there's no way I respec my monk, he's carrying.

Open Hand Monk.

Deadly. He hasn't gone down once.

My Fighter hasn't gone down yet, either.

The other two party members have gone down, but not died yet.

I'm planning to try having Karlach become a tavern brawling monk at level 6.
