Never really cared for "Schrodinger's Horny" in writing overall personally.
Met a LOT of "straight" who went the "We can have fun just please please don't tell anyone. Im not gay!!"
I have yet to meet a "straight" dude who wouldnt go for it actually. Just sometimes gotta make it a game of truth or dare so they have an "excuse"
This is brilliant, take an award
but also it's DnD. How a straight character gonna deny my nat 20 charisma roll with a +10 modifier on top. You can't say no to that.
Yeah... what happened to the "You're just not my type" attitude among party members? As a straight guy, there are plenty of women out there who would not be attracted to at all.
To me mature writing can even show up in more lighthearted or simple stories, it's about nuance and subtlety and questions without solid answers that lead to the audience thinking deeply about things for themselves. Just putting a bunch of violence, backstabbing, sex and emotional manipulation or having near every character be a raging jackass at best is kind of the opposite of that to me.
