Warlock class falling off late game?
In the very start of act III I'm noticing the damage output in comparison to my other lvl 9 characters has really fallen off. There also don't really seem to be any unique spells to justify it.

Does it get better or worse/how do i make it better?

Yeah, that's a bit of a 5e Warlock problem. The class doesn't really specialize in anything on its own. Other casters outscale them in magic (aside from Eldritch Blast being the strongest cantrip), and martial classes outscale them in weapon damage and tankiness. I find that Warlock is most powerful when its early-level features are used to supplement other classes. For instance, Pact of the Blade lets a Paladin focus purely on Charisma for their weapons+spells, and the Fiendish Vigor invocation lets a Storm Sorcerer fly without spending a spell slot. I'd recommend a bit of multi-classing if you want more power.

I can't stand the warlock class. I find it very very weak and limited. I played one on a run through a couple of months ago and never again

Once you hit a certain level Warlock gets 3 eldritch blasts a turn instead of two. Combine that with agonising blast and repelling blast and Warlock is pretty powerful. Fiend also gets up scaled fireballs in the late game that get replenished on short rest. Warlock is decently powerful.

During EA I played Warlock, and this class is just unimaginably boring to me. Eldrich blast stays strong from what I have seen, but that's quite literally the only real selling point.

it suffers a bit of the fact that long rests are easy to come by in BG3. in dnd it is at least partially balanced as short rest caster vs the other long rest casters.

Warlock is a great 2 or 3 level dip to me. Both here and in table top. I am Bard/Loc and the blast help cover the biggest weakness of the Bard to me the blast cantrip.

Honestly its a 5e problem.
In 3.5 the warlock was godly when it came to utility and damage output per round even for late levels as a pure warlock.

Sadly there is no real way to make the warlock even out to others utility or aoe by staying a pure warlock in game (table top it does a bit better)

That being said extra attack from other classes is bugged at the moment and will stack with the extra attack from pact of the blade.

So if you take 5 levels of warlock, 5 levels of paladin & 5 of warlock you can get a decent number of attacks per round.

Can also work with eldritch knight but you have to be sure to grab stuff there that is self buffs instead of attack rolls or saves.

Where you put the last 2 levels is up to you.

this is what i was thinking, hopefully the lvl 9 slowdown is the low point before you get an extra blast at 10 (im assuming). still it seems woefully unbalanced compared to a wizard.

i also don't get why gale gets access to all my unique spells as well.

i only picked the class because i had heard that patron interactions were confirmed, but it seems what they meant by that was occasional dialogue options, not voiced and never actual interactions, i've yet to see my squid lord.

My Pact of the Blade Warlock is actually the one carrying the team. He hits really freaking hard. Almost as hard as Astarion.

clearly i don't know what i'm doing, i find astarion to be the weakest one i've yet used.

My dear toothsome vampling with sneak attack, the right items and the right weapons can basically delete bosses in 2 rounds.
One if I give him Haste.

I think he's one of the better characters if they could tone down his flirting for those not interested in it, but even so pretty nice to have a camp Shakespearean actor in the party. But I had to switch him to the frog lady (full helm to hide the nose) because she is just overall doing 3x dmg in my experience. I wish I didn't need her as she's incredibly boring.

I need her now that the warlock has fallen off.

IDk if its intended or not but the extra attack from pact of the blade is stacking with extra attacks from other classes.

Could always do paladin 5 (or more) then warlock 5 +

Is 3 the max?
I always Sorlock, never Purelock.
