Put all that together and it's one of those "how did I not see this before?" things that should have been obvious from the start.
I right clicked the boss and clicked examine, saw he was vulnerable to bludgeoning, took an action putting a hammer on my level 6 Barbarian whom I hasted with my Wizard.
I then proceeded to literally solo the boss in 1.5 turns basically only with my barb, who absolutely slammed the boss.
Examine button is your friend guys.
His slam doesnt do much damage, and his single target does like 1/3 hp so plenty of time to heal if even close to danger.
Mind you im on medium/'balanced' difficulty + level 6 party atm.
But seriosuly, just equip your meleecharacter with a good warhammer while keeping the guardian molten and its quite easy.
If you just gather your people right at the gate, position a fighter with haste + hammer weapon you can smash the golem in 2-3 rounds quite safe and repeatable.
it annoys me when people just suggest not using strategy because they can just overlevel it and stomp it.. like yea.. you have a lvl 6 barb probably with speed pots attacking 5 times a turn good for you, nobody cares.
