Possible to learn an instrument if you missed Alfira dialogue ?
Hello,

  • I'm curently a lvl 3 wizard and i found an instrument recently on my aventure. So, naturally i wanted to play it. So i tried, but my character don't know how to do it so it was awful.
  • I serched for it online, and everyone tell me to go talk to Alfira.
  • The problem ? I talked to her and encourage her to play 4 hours of gameplay ago and, don't take the right dialogue for learning this skill.

  • I really want to learn to play un instrument but i don't want to delete 4 hours of gameplay to go tho the save before i meet Alfira and i don't want to multiclass...

Do you have any idea for me ? How can i do to learn to play an instrument wihout going back before i meet her and lost 4 hours straight of progression ?

Thanks you in advance for reading me, and, maybe helping me :D

I don't understand the context here, if you wanted to play an instrument why didn't you play a bard? That said, in my experience there are very few performance checks in the game and a high CHA character can pass them with guidance and a little luck.

Unfortunately, in dungeons and dragons only bards really play instruments. The game really isn't designed for non-bards to play instruments except in a few rare cases we're a non-bard can learn an instrument

There's a feat you can select when levelling that will let you play instruments. Did this with my warlock.

OH thanks you soooooooo much. I really don't want to play as a bard (not my playstyle. I prefer a level-max Wizard) and thinked i will be soft-lock because i ruined the dialogue. I will pay attention to the levelin menu now. I'm near lvl 4 so i can check rapidly and if i not found it, ask you where is the option :D
Thanks you so much, really <3

So, there is no way to be able to play an intrument without picking/giving up a feat if i didnt get it from Alfira at the grove?
Can i get it in act 2 from her? Hope thats the case, early in act 2, almost there..
I dont like giving up a feat for it or speccing 1 bard...

That's just not true. Many of my non-Bard characters play instruments, although it IS mostly for flavor.
Having said that, in BG3 it's unfortunately like you said, because the game has no tool profiencies aside from thieve's tools.
