"Investigate the murder" mission is bugged

I'm told to find the murder site. However nothing happens when I reach the murder site. I pick up the body, and then the mission marker moves with me. Still nothing happens.

There are 3 items there look:
-body has the letter
-wood next to bed has key
-the bench has another letter (this one was missing me and i tought it was bugged)

Oh... I have sold all the loot I found in the room to some merchants I cannot recall and let Gale blown up everything in the room.... I cannot tell whether I have ever encountered the items you talked about, but I'm sure there aren't any remaining items in that house now.

I see that in this video, the journal log of the youtuber is updated as he enter the room. I'm not sure whether I ever had that. My journal still says I need to "find" the murder scene, rather than investigate it or something.

Ok, the issue is kinda resolved... The quest does progress forwards when I pick up a murder target list somewhere far away from the quest marker (which is attached to a dead body). So it's probably a bug with journal and/or quest marker.

Does anyone know what the deal with Murder Victim: Franc is? I've found the letter under the bench, I've found the basement and interacted with almost everything in there. I don't know how to continue this quest at this point.

Do you mean you are having the same issue as me? Go find the murder target list somewhere. That''s what you need to progress the quest. The quest marker is totally misleading (it probably should has been updated, but it hasn't)

For everyone having trouble with this. Go back inside the Peartree house. Just to the right there is a window with a bench below it. Underneath the bench is a "bloodstained parchment". You must read this item to progress the quest. Simply click the bench and you can move it out of the way if you are having trouble selecting the note to read.

Under the bench next to the bed there is a bloody piece of parchment which is what you need to progress the quest

just examine each of the encounters and move to the next. It will resolve when you find the red dwarf at the last one.

You'll find a bloodstained parchment while investigating that murder scene. You need to read it
