lets say you need to roll an 8 to pass while having a +4 to your sleight of hand, it means you HAVE to roll the 8 and your +4 with be added to make it pass because the roll is most likely 10 or 11, the pick pocket doesnt tell you how high the roll is, it say you have to have that number.
