Of course she tells ya about the next meeting will end me.....bring it ♥♥♥♥♥!
Unfortunately the one outcome I was really hoping they'd put in is to deceive her into handing over both Mayrina and the power, and then cutting her down as a final insult for all the crap she's done.
After all she is on low HP and begging for her life, the option to cut her down afterwards should be there. But alas, it is not meant to be so I'll just settle with her dead and everyone else free.
I though the fallout with Mayrina was more interesting. You can take the wand with Connor's name and "revive" her husband as a zombie. She is horrified at first, but then decides to take him with her to Baldur's Gate. I was really interested in seeing that pan out, but I had to reload a save since reviving the husband breaks my Paladin Oath.
I instead broke the wand in front of her face so she would move on with her life. Felt like a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it's probably for the best(?)
But yes, the eye is still a bad deal compared to Volo's eye that gives permanent see invisibility and changing it to look like blue 3. Its simply never worth taking Ethel's eye.
Infact Ethel's eye used to be even worser, you could not crit at all if you took it. I feel like Larian is significantly overvaluing a mere +1 intimidate bonus.
On a tangential note, Wyll when played as origin, will refuse either of the eye surgeries, citing he only have one good eye left already.
