BG3 vs. Skyrim vs. Witcher 3 vs. Elden Ring vs. New Vegas
How does it compare, all of these seem to have equal amount of hype with critical & player adoration at the same time.

Does BG3 feel epic though like the latter games did? It is hard to get a sense of epicness from watching gameplay videos or any of the trailers.

I dunno, maybe it is not for me coming from being more of a fan of live action RPGs. I guess it is more like Dragon Age than any of the above, right?

If you've never played anything turn based or even tabletop D&D, BG3 is one of those games that will most likely rope you in because there's very few games out there like it. I felt the same way about Disco Elysium because I've never played a game in that genre before and there's literally nothing like it.

Depends on what you're looking for I suppose but for my money, this is 1000x better than Skyrim. Better story, better characters, better cinematics, better roleplay and interaction opportunities, similar level of freedom, fewer glitches (though not a complete lack) and as a game world, it just has more character and charm. Elder Scrolls is a fantastic setting but Skyrim as an RPG always felt a little hollow to me. As far as combat goes, your mileage may vary but I will say I find BG3 more challenging than Skyrim.

Can't speak to Witcher 3 and Elden Ring as much because I haven't played them.

I never finished Skyrim or TW3, and I wouldn't touch Olden Rung.

But this I will replay for 1000's of hours.

The only thing really connecting these games is they're RPGs set in a fantasy medieval-style setting.

They're all massive games and can have a lot of depth (Skyrim mostly only if you mod it), but they're hard to compare directly..

For storyline, I'd say Witcher 3 easily wins, especially with the DLC.
For content size, it's maybe a tossup between Skyrim and Elden Ring (Skyrim with mods might win). Witcher 3 has less replay value, I feel.
For game with the most true-to-core RPG elements, it's BG3. Elden Ring if you prefer action combat.

Apple vs. Orange vs. Potato vs. Hamburger (in no particular order)

It's whatever you prefer. They each have something different to offer, and a person can be in the mood for different things at different times so it's not a static point system between them, either.

They are different styles of games. Elden Ring is more focusing in mastering combat, with very little in terms of story, Skyrim is a RPG in the pure sense of the term but fails in many areas that BG3 excels, but is a more exploratory RPG. Witcher 3 is the only reasonable comparison, as I haven't finished BG3 can't make justice to a fair comparison. But I would say that I really enjoyed Witcher 3, the story, world, characters and combat were all excellent, but it wasn't turn based it was more action oriented. BG3 is more like a traditional RPG and truly excels in being that.

They're all great games but hardly comparable.

BG3 has awful screen movement, and a lot of unnecessary overhead. Skyrim is better by far, and it's not even close.

Right, BG3 is more like Pathfinder Kingmaker or Wrath of the Righteous. In fact these three are very similiar games and to Elden Ring, Sykrim or Witcher it is defenetly not similiar.

BG3 is like a little more mainstrem Pathfinder game with witcher-cutscenes.

Skyrim (with mods) > Baulders Gate 3 (haven't beat it yet, waiting to try out mods) > Elden Ring (haven't beat it yet, but wow are some bosses so not fun) > Witcher 3 (never beat it, never will, not a fan)

I feel like bg3 is lacking in side quests compared to skyrim and witcher 3

Skyrim - a nice thing to pair with nexus mods and forget about a real life for a couple of years

Witcher 3 - generic openworld sandbox swordfight game.

Elden Ring - Dark SOuls, but non-linear.

BG3 - gay gnomes.

Quite frankly it is rather sad how people let cults dictate their life huh...

Its definitely better than the potion chugging, left click mashing, fast travel letter delivery simulator that is Skyrim.

They are noit really comparable.

-Skyrim is an open-world sandbox RPG with overall pretty weak story (it has its moments)
-Witcher 3 is a story rich action-RPG with a strong protagonist you can't modify.
- Elden Ring is a souls like action-RPG that lives in its character progression
-BG3 is a top down CRPG based on a tabletop RPG, it is turn-based and has a styrong emphasis on dice rolls.

Apples, oranges, pears and grape, they are all fruiis but can we really compare rthem?
