Edit: I knew he died cause Dark Urge gets an inspiration from it
Wouldn't be too quick to judge. 2 minutes of google tell me a lot of people seem to have similar bugs. A good chunk of them right after killing the mind flayer near the crashed nautiloid (the inspiration pop-up for Belryn's death pops up).
All cases I've seen either didn't mention it at all or specifically mentioned they were playing with the dark urge, so it seems to be somewhat related to the dark urge, though maybe not.
Definitely does seem like there's some bug with the progression / timer / triggers with the people trapped in Waukeen's Rest.
I have no dark urge affiliated with my party and am having the same issue. can't find any answers on google either
I also noticed that if you do a "go back to camp" in the area to just pick up Wyll. it also kills everyone.
