"Slow fall" monk
How does monk's "Slow fall" works? The description of the skill says that it is a passive skill that requires a reaction to activate. But this reaction has never been activated for me when i tried to jump and this skill is absent in "reactions". Help

It's a combat reactive. So if someone pushes you off something it'll activate.
I'm assuming it's different to the spell Edit: feather fall that's a group wide buff that prevents you from taking fall damage and is also amazing.

I once started a fight from the rafters and half my team was punted to their deaths.

So it doesn't activate if you willingly jump off. Lame

Honestly its sucks, they incorperated it in the game different than what the 5e ruleset is The game just has slowfall give resistance to fall damage. So you take half damage. In the paper ruleset it reduces your fall damage by 5 times your monk level. So as a level 5 monk you could fall 25ft and not take any damage.

Yeah it's weird i assumed it was jumping off but even if you get an ally to push you down so it's a fall it still doesn't activate. lame indeed.
