I'm in baldurs gate, talking to the statues. i've tried offering everything to these stupid statues. im a cleric. ive given gold. ive given legendary weapons.

no matter what i offer, no matter how much i offer, it always says "your offering is accepted but more proof of devotion is required" what are you supposed to give them?

Do you offer any healing, Vicar? Sure, I have these healing potions and items ... for a fee.

No, the real exploit is to steal the money back but not destroy the chest and defeat the summons that try to kill you. Then go back and get their OP weapons from pouches (after long rest) that you shouldn't normally be able to get. It's based on your TAVs deity, with the right one there is a way to get 2 deva maces which are the most OP in the game, each do a crazy +4d8 radiant.

The actual amount to give is equal to the amount to give a vendor to get 100 approval. Amount is increased for every player level and some more for tactician. It's cheaper to do this early before you level up in the city.

lvl11/12 4500

I think it's +500 so, 5000gp cost at lvl 11/12 in tactician.
Offering made once and you can go back and pray for free every day after.

You can do it for 400 gold if you go to Withers and respec and then go to the temple as a lvl 1 character. It's the same for vendors, it's cheaper to gain favor with them the lower your level.

Then just level up and you can get the buff from the temple every day.

I gave 4499 gold, but "more is required for devotion", the 1 gold after was enough
