You can just offer a ton of stuff then head down the hatch within the church to retrieve it all back from a chest down there
If you don't remove the curse, then the envoy will appear when the cursed character goes unconscious (which will then kill them immediately as part of the curse). So it's better to remove the curse and have 4 party members to fight the envoy. The envoy I fought only had 120 hp, so Lae'Zel tore through him pretty quick.
And once you come back up, in my case, I got a warning from the narrator that tempers are rising. But there was no fight or jail time as a result.
Does it reset every single time you go to camp to pick up more pieces of armor to give to her or something? i gave WAAAAAY more than 4500 surely. No blessing.
the UI for this is terrible btw.
My plate armor only sells for 154 instead of 400.... yeah then i didnt reach 4500 probably LOL seriously what a greedy god.
IIRC your offering has to be in one go? So you can't keep going back and making small offerings that eventually equal the required amount.
EXPLOITED!
You face the Ire of the Gods if you steal from them but a very mundane 'remove curse' scroll does the trick.
A side note - No God of thieves to worship OH THE IRONY is too much!
SPOILERS
AND Mystra is a babe......very few mortal men can boast having shagged a Goddess, not sure what Gale is complaining about. She looks like someone to die for LoL!
On a separate note:
It seems to be 3k - 5k gold per party member for a questionable buff.
I'd think I'd rather love myself more with a statue that gives bless than pay homage to gods.
In the current 5e lore dragonborn actually dislike most dragons & both the dragon gods because the world they came from was ruled by dragons who treated them well..... Badly.
If you were playing an older version of DND that wouldn't be an issue as they used to not be their own race, they were something any race could become if they pledged themselves to either Tiamat or Bahamut and lived by their code. (was actually really nice and had a lot of perks).
Sadly that all got erattad away.
After that, I distracted Vicar Humbletoes to gain access to the basement through the trap door. (I lockpicked with Astarion and then went in.)
After that I disarmed all the traps etc in the way to the room of the offering chests, if you steal the item from the main chest and then subsequently remove curse for the stolen item... a guardian spawns from the gods and you kill it. Then you can feel free to loot all the items from the chest you donated it to in the first place and send it all straight back to camp.
I was able to re-receive a blessing after all these transgressions which means I'm getting it at no cost.
I was able to repeat this for each of the gods statues for each member of my party. Worked well.
Sacrilege.
Any of the gods that take money for a blessing sounds like a free market to me.
