Offerings to the Gods?
I'm in baldurs gate, talking to the statues. i've tried offering everything to these stupid statues. im a cleric. ive given gold. ive given legendary weapons.

no matter what i offer, no matter how much i offer, it always says "your offering is accepted but more proof of devotion is required" what are you supposed to give them?

Not sure on the exact number, but I decided to give 5k gold to it and my cleric can now go and get a blessing each day. Gives you the Anointed in Splendor condition that is a +2 bonus to all saving throws.

Yeh, it's absurd... I tried donating a legendary item and it didn't work either.

The amount is exactly 3k gold.

For me it was 5k for Tyr... Tried 3k, then another 2k.
The blessing is quite amazing - but its just for 1 long rest, so you need to go there every day, thats not convenient enough....^^

I wished, they would make it a "Pray to XY"-Spell... That would be so much more useful...

i tried 1000, then 2000, then 3000, then 5000.
I prayed to Bahamut because i'm a dragonborn cleric of Bahamut.

What God did you pray to that accepted only 3000? I suspect its 5000 for the center statue but the 4 gods surrounding it probably have their own ordeal.

I'm not sure its worth it, also 3k didn't work. it needed 5k

I think it's 4500 gold, have tested a couple times in the Stormshore Tabernacle and it worked consistently.

Also, I think it might be bugged. Although it shows up for each stat/ability score as contributor to my saving throw total, the actual saving throw/total was what it was before receiving the blessing.
Example: My Charisma Saving Throws is +10, even though my modifiers are +2, +4, +2, +2, +2. This should total to +12, but the total is showing up as +10. Hopefully Larean will address this soon!

After looking into it further, it seems that the Saving throw bonus from Aura of Protection (Paladin) and the Anointed in Splendour from the god altars/statues do not stack. Either that, or it's just a UI bug.

it's probably effected by charisma or wisdom or another stat if people are getting different values fyi,

The cost from what i've read appears to be 3-5k based on game difficulty

I am not blowing 5k gold on some "gods" (dodges lightning). Do you know how many silver plates and battered pieces of armour I had to drag out of ruined temples for that?

The good thing is you can offer them items and gear instead, which is generally worth a lot but vendors give you like 50% of its worth at most, if you do it that way its way cheaper than 5k gold.
