Ancient Forge bug, crucible disappears

I have a problem with my game, essentially , i went to Grymforge , forged a set of armor and did the thing after that ... however, i found another piece of ore and wanted to craft another item, but i simply cannot, as the crucible (where you insert the ore) is gone, can't click or interact with it, highlighting it doesn't work, i'd like to avoid doing the fight again, so how can i fix this issue ? i sent an email to Larian with my save already, and i reckon it might take a while before i get a response, so i wonder ... is there a way to edit saves in this game ?

there is a button behind the forge lever that will raise it back up then you can re forge

i tried that also, still unable to use the forge.

Try ejecting the mould, making the platform rise back up and reinsert everything

Ouch. Have you tried leaving to a very far part of the map and coming back? Like fast travel to the very first fast travel location and then go back. Also, save and close the game entirely. Some of my issues were solved by the second.
None of mine were as bad as your issue though. They were just an unfinished quest objective that I returned to and it was fixed. And some unlootable gold piles that I could eventually interact with.

I have the exact same problem, crucible is completely gone, all i can do is load the moulds, and the lava wheel is "stuck". tried going into TBM and nothing happens. Boss also died half way inside the crucible.

Having the same exact issue as Housetek. No crucible, lava wheel is stuck. Very sad :(

I redid the fight with the boss, and worked.

Same in my case - crucible disappeared - making platform up/down doesn't change anything, reinserting, removing mould doesn't change anything, camping and moving to a far location doesn't change anything, neither does game reset. just a bugg I guess :(

Again (wrote it already in other threads): you have to restart the forging process and follow the instructions to-the-letter. It is possible to craft 2 items but as soon as one is impatient (e.g. hitting a switch twice) the sequence can break. So hit the buttons, wait a few seconds (especially the last step when the item is produced silently takes some time without giving visual hints about the process).

If all else fail - just go to camp, do a long rest, go back (=resets the area) and start anew.

I tried long rest, go to act 2 map but this bug still there. I believe its something to do with the boss dead body :( hopefully it will disappear after a few more playing time

Still doesn't work. Followed the process, tried everything else, reseted multiple times. just a bugg I guess

ZPC ... I am having this issue as well. Grym robot is perfectly layed out over the crucible, like his very own adamantine sacrifice. At first I thought it was an error caused by the the selection mouse being unable to see the crucible thru the robot, but after trying various methods, Shadowheard keeps complaining about it being blocked. I tried various explosives to remove the robot (as this is likely a dead thread so might as through everything I have at it) but no luck.

What fixed it for me is to reload an older save, redo the fight and it worked, it's a bit of a hassle but it's a guarantee fix.

I just came here to say this, it's 100% the boss body blocking the crucible. I just killed him away from the crucible with Karlach (bare-handed lol) and the crucible works like a charm (repeatedly).
