Act 3 - Rolan dies after a long Rest

After killing Lorroakan keeping Rolan alive, I did a long rest. I was then informed after the rest that I killed Rolan when i most currently did not. Another weird thing with Rolan during this time is that i could not talk or interact with him.

Anyone, have any clue what going on?

I have the same issue. As I know, the same problem can be with Duke Ravenguard. I tried to reload before Lorroakan was killed and defeated him once more. But it didn't help. I tried to speak with Rolan with different phrases. It didn't help.

In other thread I saw, that Rolan died, but there is some note on the floor near him, From Eylin. I suppose it's correc behavior and Eylin just go crazy. But it's only my suggestion.

I need an answer to this as well, at least a confirmation from the devs if it's a bug or not.

I opened a ticket about this, we'll see. It should be a bug based on the first journal entry saying he's saved and helping our cause prior to the second saying we killed him, which we clearly didn't. I don't see a note from Aylin though. Maybe she did go nuts.. I might go back and try not calling her in and see if that helps.

Going back to the tower after the long rest I find his corpse as well as his siblings

It's definitely Aylin, either get Lorroakan to attack you or attack him yourself. Do not bring Aylin if you want Rolan to survive.

The Nightsong just helped me kill Thorm and then stayed in camp like Halsin doing nothing. Not even getting offended or anything when I regained my rightful place as the Chosen of Father Bhaal and I mean, Volo flipped.

The whole inn died in mine. Even Jaheira. I thought she would heal or retain hitpoints after her wildshape. But she up and died. I know that messed up a buncha quests for me.

same happened to me... after the fight he talked about bringing lia and cal there too. i tried reloading and doing something different, but he still died. then, i went into the room to see if there was anything and... cal and lia were there (as if he brought them post-fight like he said) but also dead? i'm not sure if that's meant to happen or not, but i know i sure as hell didn't kill them after the trouble i went through the ensure they all stayed alive the entire game

guys i killed lorokkan with alone without calling aylin but after it rolan come i dont want to kill him but he doesnt let me pass he is fighting with me and dying everytime

I don't think it's Aylin though. I used talking to the dead amulet on Rolan, and he gives the information which is not relevant to the current events. He says that his death was quick and he was heading to Lorroakan to become his apprentice, which is basically not true at the moment since the wizard is dead and Rolan was happy about it.

So my conclusion is that it's a bug, if not proven otherwise.
