Umbral Gem bug?

I did all the trials and got the fourth gem by the displacer beast, but I seem to be missing one for the pedestal after using the traversal platform. Is this possible to bug? I am wondering if when I added in the first gem into the first pedestal I may ave tried to add another and it accepted it. Is this bug fixable? I don't want to waste hours of gameplay if possible :'(

Change to a Bard for 100 gold at camp and select the Knock spell when you level up. Use the elevator with the umbral gems that you did manage to get, open the main vault door with Knock.

Go back to camp and change back your class for 100 gold.

There is already one gem in the first pedestal. You need only four.

Hey.
I found one method that worked for me. When I started the trial, soft-step, I went with Shadowheart to spill blood in the altar, did the trial and noo umbral gem at the end. Nothing worked from reloading to restart the game. Then I interact with the same sacrificial bowl but this time with Tav another cutscene happens to approve Shadorheart to do it herself and like magic the umbral stone was there. Hope it helps somebody

I’m having this issue now. One gem was dropped during the second trial where you fight your mirrors. It was all the way in the back. But I’m still missing one. And I’m sure I got them after each trial. This is a game breaking bug. I think that you lose orbs from your inventory and sometimes they’re retrievable and sometimes not.

Thanks for posting the CE fix, it takes 5 mins, much faster (and cheaper :P) than switching classes to Bard.

Seconding (or actually, thirding, I think) this. I was SO upset, since I'd left the Gauntlet and did a number of things after I got stuck; I would've lost more than 10 hours of progress if I'd had to go back. Which I couldn't have because I only keep 2 or 3 saves at a time, ha.

We were in the same position and after putting two gems in the lift we only had 2 left for the door below.

The internet suggested using the "Knock" spell on the door, and it worked fine. We knock, they open. We hadn't used Gale so we leveled him up and picked up Knock. We also realized we had a "Scroll of knock" laying around. If you've been vigilant and adventured a lot and saved all scrolls you might have one as well!

I placed one on the alter to Shar following a guide. It did not mention to pick it back up, but that is where my fourth one was. This is the alter in the room right after the mushroom platforms

For any new comers I'd like to point out that you need to use the cheat table prior to patch 1. --- Game v4.1.1.3669438 --- Table v9 --- wont spawn your umbral gem.

I think I have a variation on this bug. I have all 4 umbral gems. But the Ancient Alter will not accept any of them. I just get the error "Can't use this item now". I succeeded at all the trials. I did take a long rest at some point. If I have to go back to a prior save, I am not sure which one would do it. Very frustrating.

you sir, are a godsend. my game got bugged out and wouldn't let me pick up the umbral gem and my last save was before I got in to the mausoleum, so thank you

So for me when i went into the Soft-Step Trial I clicked on the Umbral Gem to pick it up, but somehow whilst being at the gates, threw the gem on top of the statues head and can no longer pick it up, nor interact with it. Don't want to reload to an old save file because that is 1hour backwards.

Same thing happened to me, I could go back but that's 2 hours and a lot of progress.
