Umbral Gem bug?

I did all the trials and got the fourth gem by the displacer beast, but I seem to be missing one for the pedestal after using the traversal platform. Is this possible to bug? I am wondering if when I added in the first gem into the first pedestal I may ave tried to add another and it accepted it. Is this bug fixable? I don't want to waste hours of gameplay if possible :'(

I have this exact same issue and if I were to reload my save I would be losing like 8 hours of gameplay because I went off and did loads of other quests in between doing the Trials of Shar. I've submitted a bug report to Larian but please let me know if you find a solution to this :( All I can see on Reddit is people saying "Oh I found it in camp chest/another characters inventory" but I've gone through all of them and can't find it :(

theres 4 trials and the displacer beast one, for 5 in total.

I'll check the travellers chest but it's absolutely not in my companion's inventories and I've rechecked each trial just to be sure I didn't miss a gem. So frustrating because I used the platform, and then went off to do everything else in the Shadow Lands before coming back to this so it's also hours of gameplay down the drain

i dont know. i didnt even do the displacer beast and only got like, 2 gems and still got the legendaries and completed the story. i think you only have to do that stuff if you have literally no other way to get through the temple.

The one I'm missing is the one from the mirror trial. I couldn't see it anywhere

Same issue, Mine is from the soft step trial. I got to the room and nothing was on the alter. I didn't think much of it at the time I figured the guy with the displacer beast stole it but after getting all the other ones I realized it was a bugged and didn't spawn in. I wish I had console commands so I don't have to wait for a patch to move forward :/

Hello. While the fix is not implemented yet, there is one possible solution to solve the problem.

Download and install Cheat Engine. Find the latest Cheat Table for Baldur's Gate 3 and download it. Open the table and choose Baldur's Gate 3 process via Display Icon which is highlighted in the UI. Then go to the list below and check following list items:

1) Console Commands
2) Register Commands
3) Item Spawner

There you can see "Spawn Hand Crossbow +2" as a template. Press on the <script> on the right and find "local items = {"ab150a98-0a8e-4ee2-9dca-580d77f99be3",}". Replace the ID for the following one. Then press OK and check "Spawn Hand Crossbow +2" in the list. The item should appear.

I used this item ID in cheat engine and it worked, confirmed current

P.S - I found one gem had respawned in the place you fight yourself, but I was still lacking one gem

There's exactly 4 Orbs with 1 only set on the pedestal.

You use 1 orb to add on the pedestal(thus having 2 orbs on the pedestal and enabling the elevator) and use the other 3 orbs on the other pedestal downstairs to progress.

I got another Problem at the exact Location. got all 4 Orbs. Easy. Placing one on the alter. Check. plattform is moving up? Yeah. Standing on ist ans clicking the Traversal Stone. Yea there nothing happens for me. :(

I had this same issue, in the room where you fight yourself it never spawned in, the cheat menu thing worked, was just annoying, crashed the game once. Did not want to play programmer in the midst of this adventure.

I am having similar difficulties, obtained all 4 gems. The first pedestal required two of them in order to get the pad to come up so now only have two for the lower pedestal. Unable to progress. Very frustrating...

There's a bug in the self-same trial where it won't drop an umbral gem if you banish one of the mirror enemies. I had already deleted the save file before this so I needed another way.
