I healed it just so I can beat it longer, I hope it suffered.
The bastard decided to spring up around the hook horror gang and got into a fight with them and I just blasted the lot with a couple of fireballs.
This makes sense because in that cool Magic tower there is a letter or note where one character is saying their ex is crazy for having one as a pet
Also, downing isn't the end of a fight, it's just the beginning. My characters get downed all the time. I just bring them back up with a Cleric or potion or Help command and go about my day. It's 5th edition, downing is a fact of life here.
I have a similar hate of the Guardian purely because during one fight I had a mostly caster party and the enemy was resistant to magic attacks. The Guardian just kept whispering, "That won't work" and "Try something else" after every spell I cast but damn lady I only had the one melee character.
"That won't work", "Try something else"
"wuah wuah wuah"
Edit:
Now I found it's collar, a shame that I killed it already.
