Neverwinter Nights 2 is much better than this game.

I've played Neverwinter Nights 2 single player, online, and hundreds of custom adventures from 2006 to 2022.
Only Elden Ring managed to get me away from that game.

I think that in a couple of years we won't hear about this BG3 anymore, and the large community of multiplayer D&D lovers will still find themselves orphaned of a multimedia product in step with the times.

I know that NWN2 is a little dated in terms of graphics, but from a gaming D&D point of view it is still the most rewarding option.

Yeah, I don't know about that. Don't get me wrong, the Neverwinter games are probably my favorite ones, but I am liking this one at least as much as those.

still have nwn and nwn 2 in the boxes, and on GoG but I always liked BG saga more. So. De gustibus.

NWN2 OC is good, but the last area was a slog and really brought the rest of the game down imo. I still have fond memories of the game and plan to replay it someday though. Mask of the Betrayer was definitely way better than OC. I barely played Storm of Zehir but did end up finishing one playthrough of Mysteries of Westgate.

i have sunk thousands of hours in both of them over the years and 2 was infinitely better than 1, but neither is as good as BG3.

You are clearly overinvested in that game, so you love it so much that literally every other games seems miniscule to you, and only you. IF after 16 years only Elden Ring managed to get you off that game, then you are just missing out and being salty about it. Just get out of here and play some Nights.

NWN2 Main campaign and that yuan-ti expansion - no.
Mask of the Betrayer - uh, yes, not even a fair comparison.

And of course NWN2 had persistent worlds which is a huge plus.
