You only need to give him 3 and the vast majority of magic items in this game are absolute rubbish so it's not really hurting you in any way.

Be happy you dont remember EA. During EA, you couldnt feed him most of the items you can feed him now, leaving only like 3 or 4, most of which you would definitelly want to keep.

In this release, just give him the crap you dont wanna use anyway.
Who needs a ring to cast level 1 colour spray? It's 33 Hit Points. As soon as you hit the underdark you wont even be affecting a single enemy with this.

Plus if you're collecting/selling valuables, you shouldn't be hurting for 80-200 gold per magic item you feed Gale. If you budget it out and only feed him when prompted, you won't notice the crap items gone.

I play on Tactician and I can tell you that every enemy already had more than 33 HP when I got this ring making it entirely worthless.

I have 9, I tried to give him 7 and he just isn't hapy with it, so I figured ♥♥♥♥ him at this point because the last two are actually really helpful

You have *hundreds* of rubbish green items. Any will do and you need only 3 to finish this part of quest. It's not an issue whatsoever

Edit: nevermind just use him to consume the items I guess, using the donate doesn't work? strange to have it or I'm doing something wrong witht he dialogue itself, unsure
