Does anyone actually even care about split-screen co-op?

It's the main issue holding back the game on XBOX right now. What percentage of people actually even care about that feature?

I've been having a blast playing on PC, singleplayer. Looking forward to also playing on XBOX when it does come out. IMO they should just release the game without the split-screen feature and then just add it in later when it's ready.

Yep. I play BG3 together with my wife and we don't have 2 systems that can run BG3. Split-screen is a godsend.
More games should do it.

This confuses me as surely the PS5 version has split screen also so why are they struggling with that on Xbox?

Doing the exact same thing. My wife has wanted to try D&D since we started playing the D&D Adventure System board games but was intimidated by the complexity of the tabletop game so this was a good way to jump in and get familiar with a slightly more accessible 5e ruleset. Her PC is way too old to play this game well enough to be enjoyable so we've been doing split screen on mine

Yeah for sure, more games with couch coop the better.

its the xbox series S that is having issues with splitscreen, not the series X.

I would definitely prefer if it was released on Xbox and they added the split screen later if they're able to.

Yes, local co-op is a good thing. I'm just waiting to see if they are going to implement dynamic split screen like in DOS 1&2, right now it's forced split screen which sucks. It's holding me back from buying the game.

Yes, last gen Diablo 3 was my most played game with my friends, because Microsoft didn't bother to have that in Halo anymore...

I'm looking forward to BG3 console release just for this feature!

It's the only way I played Divinity OS 1 and 2, sat of the couch with my wife.

I don't think we would have bought any of the games if they didn't have good split screen (and the current BG3 spilt screen is a step back from what we had in DOS and it's making the game a lot less fun)

my gf and me prefer playing splitscreen, despite us being able to play local coop on 2 different pcs the split screen variant is way better, also using the controller to move and change view feels so much better than on keyboard and mouse, only trading and inventory management is better with keyboard (but u need ImmersiveUI to make it bearable anyway)
