Active Search KBM bind?

Is there a way to use Active Search in KBM? I've only seen it possible to use by holding down a gamepad button and it's really needed for rolling perception checks against the environment.

Yeah, I feel like most PC users don't even realize how OP the Active Search option for Controllers is bc not many people are talking about it. When using KBM, I cant find objects that I know are there when I scroll over them with the mouse, or the mouse has to be in the perfect spot to pick up the outline of the object. But on controller, I hold down the "x" button and everything within 10 yards of me is listed in a menu that's easy to navigate. IDK why KBM doesn't have this option, since you can "search" an area during DnD games. They could even expand the radius, and the amount of information gained during active search by rolling perception even.

I was looking for 'Active Search' and found this thread. Are you saying we can't AS on the PC? side note: what does 'kbm' mean?

I didn't know active search was even a thing. KBM is keyboard+mouse

Ok i was wondering too, i have to switch between a gamepad and KBM everytime, it's so annoying

Just started with game using K+M as well and use ALT but notice it doesn't show everything. so is the "active search" different in that it shows everything, or does it show the same stuff as ALT key does?
