Spoiler: Gith Lich Queen Funny
So during your interactions with her when you get forced into it after a boss fight, you can be a smart ass. And be too much of a smart-ass, and she will literally use Wish to kill you and force a game over.

I feel like this is so much of a win I called it there for the night, but allow me to explain why its so damned funny;

You make fun of how if she was a real god you she wouldn't need your help or the artifact. Then, once you do it again, she casts Wish- Now, Wish has to be granted by a God. So a "God" had to get another God to kill a level 5 Monk's party using a level 9 Spell she can't likely cast again very easily. I may be dead, but in my moments before its over the irony should be heavy and weighted on her shoulders. That, and if it WAS this easy the whole time, why not wish for the Artifact whenever she wanted?

Either way, am annoyed I have to redo a somewhat difficult fight again. But it was worth it.

It's honestly pretty stupid that she can get it (when they said it won't be in the game since it's so broken) but you can't counterspell it. Honestly this was one of the multiple fumbles I saw the game have.

I saw her and felt the urge to make comparisons to several politicans. God she was one ugly PoS. I don't even bother dealing with the gith. They can go ♥♥♥♥ themselves.

Hardly a fumble as it is a 9th level spell and considered the most powerful spell in 5e, at character levels 5, 6 or 7 you were never going to have the DC required... also you'll most likely have less than 100 hit points which means insta death. Also she is a demi-god so the power level was acceptable and quite humorous.

True, but a level 20 character still kicks a level 5 6 or 7 characters backside. At that level you were never going to win.

Monastery is locked in my heart anyway not only it reveal the path to heroism (showing the big cast) for most chara

It also the place that my first roleplay as monk hold pretty high significance

Bonus point you can reapply the morninglord buff by placing and removing the weapon there every long rest (assuming they not fixed it yet (or its a feature?))

Yeah, I suppose. She's still a punk having to use magic to invoke Tiamat to punish you.

I have way over 100 hitpoints. She also is a lich not a demigod. I never said I wanted to be able to use Wish. I could easily counterspell wish with upcast. It's just a DC of 19 just like in real D&D. Which at level 12 with the feats I have and Dark One's Own Luck...piece of cake.

I thought this was funny and fine. Felt appropriate. I guess if I was a moron and played Ironman I might be annoyed but only morons play Ironman, and I am not a morn.

How are you possibly L12 during this exchange? I did literally everything that could be done in Act 1 and I was L7.

Look there is no counter spell in the game, plain and simple, so your complaint is simply based on counter spell not being added... not even a lot of "real world" DnD tabletop games allow counter spell (so accept it as if Larian is the game master and they are not allowing it), that simple, also the DC of 19 is the base value, a character capable of casting a spell level 9 is going to decimate a lowly level 12 with or without upcast especially if it is a character such as Vlaakith (who I doubt just runs around naked).

Also are you trying to say you completed act 3 and returned to a Act 1 zone, because that is the only way you could of been level 12. As for demi god you are correct, not sure why I said that but I did.

Check again buddy, it's a spell in the game and it's quite useful against summoning or resurrecting enemies.

Nullify another creature's spell as a reaction. The spell must be 3rd level or lower. If it is higher, you must succed a Check to nullify it, the difficulty of which is based on the spell's Level.

The way it's worded even makes it potentially usable in the aforementioned situation.

I dont think you know how counterspell works. DC is 10+spell level, so 19. 19 can be beaten considering you will have at least +8 spell-casting modifier by then.....

Also, when you cast wish to do anything other than copy a level 8 or lower spell there is a 33% chance to never cast wish again, 1d10 damage every time you cast another spell AND str lowered to 3.

There is counterspell in this game....have you not played it? Completely unmodded you can learn counterspell as a wizard. What are you on about? I'm playing without any mods and I have counterspell on my wizard. Literally everyone is telling you that you're wrong about it being in the game and wrong about the easily hittable DC.

They just flat out fumbled with this whole situation.
