Dark Urge First Playthrough
Wondering if i would have a good experience running a dark urge origin? Looks pretty neat and a fun twist on playing the story for the first time. Any downsides? should i pick a custom or different origin?

A lot of the content of the Dark Urge involves it telling you to do things that might be counter-productive, I get the impression. You can refuse to do so but it feels against the spirit of things.

Thinking of doing something along the lines of Vengence Paladin that fights the urge at all cost and tries to be good and see how the story plays out. I have a twisted mind so i think it might be kinda cool to see the urge try and take over my character. Just wanna make sure ill be able to atleast experience the story a good bit, Ill for sure have second playthroughs

It's not for the faint of heart.
It will be gory and gruesome, and there are stuff that you won't be able to prevent the dark urge from doing that might break your heart.

Approach with caution.
It's an interesting playthrough, but not recommended as a first playthrough.

Not recommended because it can be brutal? Kinda sounds interesting for a paladin trying to fight that urge and keep his oath

I am playing it as my only playthrought(Replaying rpgs just dont work for me)
And i am having fun.
Supressing the dark urge.
Constantly trying to protect others from myself.
It is fun.

It also has some really nice story moments i wont spoil.

Just a friendly warning.
If someone dies even if you didnt kill them people still still threat it as it you did.
It is a oversight by the dev's.

Some things I have done make me so ashamed, to say the least.

I picked it and don't regret it. Aside from that very early situation, I haven't really noticed my choice making an impact on the story. Other than all my companions being wary of me.
It helps too that everyone you come across seems to be cruel in some way. So slaughtering everyone and leaving nothing but death behind hasn't been that much of a struggle.

Not because it's "brutal", but because you might end up killing characters that you don't want to kill. And some of these aren't optional to "resist", but instead they just happen.

I'm playing a Dark Urge paladin and roleplay wise it's a blast but I already had two instances where the game took away my ability to choose. Can you tell me how common this is going to be? It's an interesting idea but if it happens too often then it will just get annoying.

Let me say this... You will be surprised and maybe even shocked by what will happen. Yes you can resist or give in to the urge... But at times there is no resisting. Don't want to spoil the beans, but I had this one wonderful event happen and I managed to resist the urge to get really beautiful thing happen... Until night came and the Dark Urge took control. I was utterly shocked for what had transpired. :2017eyeball::Rivals::watchingyou:

It's made for some memorable moments that's for sure but that just makes it better.

Yeah, but maybe better for a second or n'th playthrough for most people.
