This helped me a lot too. My PC was beginning to heat up my room and I have similar specs.
Once I capped the frames, it went way down.

My pc kept crashing cause of the temps. Capping at 60 with vsync helped. Runs alot cooler.

Had the game crash a few times due to it. After some trial and error, I found out it was the temperature since the game pulls a ton of voltage to the GPU for some reason.

In X1 Precision I made a new profile and cranked the fans to max and set the max power target to 108%. Game has pulled 108% on the power a few times so there is certainly something going on with how the game manages GPU power.
Still ever since doing this the game no longer crashes for me and sticks around 50 - 60c instead of teetering on the edge of OTP. Just have to deal with the sound of a jet engine.

why would you cap fps to 60 if your pc can handle way more than 60 fps it make no sense why would you upgrade your pc to be able play games at like 100 fps but then complain about gpu heating up? its literally how gpus are made to work if your gpu sits at 75-80c playing bg3 its perfectly normal my gpu RX 5700 XT was sitting at 70c and my fan speeds were only 55%

Then fix it. It's not the game's fault, the game will only make you use your graphics card and power supply. Your computer should be able to run at 100% power without overheating if it's adequately cooled. With the temps you're saying are blasting out of it, it could stand to have a better cooling system or better airflow in the case or both. If your room is naturally hot or the computer is in a bad circulation area (like on the floor or in a corner), then that can also affect how hot it gets. It needs cold air to cool off your parts.

My friend has a 4090 graphics card and runs max graphics on games at 55 C because he has excellent cooling and an air conditioned room.

Welp my 6700k sees you OP and raises you 95-99C when running in the default OC setting of the board for that chip (definitely not friendly with 7 years old cheap aircooling and mediterranean coast summer xD), 85-90C at default settings xD.

If you want weight lose try our sauna gaming program!
