This helped me a lot too. My PC was beginning to heat up my room and I have similar specs.
Once I capped the frames, it went way down.
In X1 Precision I made a new profile and cranked the fans to max and set the max power target to 108%. Game has pulled 108% on the power a few times so there is certainly something going on with how the game manages GPU power.
Still ever since doing this the game no longer crashes for me and sticks around 50 - 60c instead of teetering on the edge of OTP. Just have to deal with the sound of a jet engine.
dont matter if i change the graphics
My friend has a 4090 graphics card and runs max graphics on games at 55 C because he has excellent cooling and an air conditioned room.
