cant talk to volo

i just found volo in baldurs gate and I can't talk to him. keeps telling me to come over here and when i click him my character says "shadow heart needs to speak to her more than I do, better wait til she's free" I have no idea who hes talking about. I can talk to other NPCs but not volo. Dont know whats going on here.

I also have this issue not sure what to do. I just pickpocketed his whole inventory in front of his face and he didn't react

Same, I did just say F it and sleep anyways and he doesn't want to talk anymore. Hope I didn't miss some important dialog

You cant talk to Volo, but you can destroy the chair he is sitting on.
When you destroy the chair he will move to your camp.
