I do too. I take everything just incase it has a use. Then I'm just cluttered and overwhelmed with things I have no idea what to do with.
I feel like if you think an item is too situational for your characters then its vendor trash. It doesn't overall make it trash - a pendant that regains ki doesn't work for a party without a monk but could be helpful to one with - but to me now it's worthless.
Read the tooltip and think how much value will you get out of using it.
That's basically the reason why I started the game three times and never progressed 1st chapter. I get tired of junk or reading forums about useless junk. I shelf the game to check this "fun" for a later time.
