Paladin-Dex Question
I lowered my dex to 11 from the recommended 12 I believe. Should I keep it at 12, does 11 help AC at all? Or should I keep it at even numbers? TY

Personaly i play like this ( 16 str, 16 cha, 14 con, 10 wis. 10 int and 8 agi) Wis and int for skill check.(balance mode)
But you can go (16 str, 16 cha, 14 con, 8 wis and int, other point in agi for initiative) Agi is useless for AC cos you can wear heavy armor

every 2 points is 1 ac up, basically, up to your armor cap.

paladins can wear heavy armor so you can ignore a lot of dex, depending on what you wear.

Dex can be good for a paladin for saving throws, initiative and +1 to ac on most early armor that is available. Its hard because paladins need so many stats to be good. So I went 16/12/16/8/8/14 on my paladin/barbarian and with some of the items I have been having a blast with it!

Depends on how you will use the character. Dex will come in handy for use if you want ranged combat, say a bow.

I think heavy armor don't use your dex modifier to AC, so I think you are ok. And if you plan to use medium armor, it caps to +2 dex modifier(14 dex in this case)

Armor will tell you how much dex it will support. The heaviest medium usually maxes out at +2 and the heaviest of heavy armor typically supports no bonus ac from dex. However I already found a medium item that actually had no cap on the amount of dex it could benefit from as one of its magical effects so some items could make the statement untrue.

Also if you want those meaty GWM crits I really recommend getting to 20 str as soon as possible, until then just use giants elixers on your barb/paladin. Barb doesnt need 20 as much because they always roll with advantage but it really is some of the highest martial damage you can get in the game so maximizing that is super important. Every +1 of strength bonus increases not only your chance to hit but also your base damage.
