Owlbear cub bug

Cant get the cub to leave the cave, stuck on "oblivious devouring mother" am at the end of act 1 and did this near the beginning lol, i want the cub!!

I saved it from goblin camp and dont have it too T-T already in act 2

Had issues with this too. For me the only option when interacting with the owlbear cub at the goblin camp was to incite it to attack. I tried that and the goblins killed it before I could stop them. I brought swift vengeance upon them for that.

I have the dog at my camp i can't have the owl bear sadly.

Sure you can, my camp has both in them and there are even cut scenes where they play around together

Hmm maybe they changed it, in early access the owl bear eats the dog.. later.. Sorry if this is a spoiler but it was not pleasant.

You have to do the Chicken Run thing in the Goblin camp and then convince them that they don't wanna keep the owlbear. If you do that and then wait for it to leave the area before triggering the attack it will eventually show up in your camp.

It depends on how you treat the owlbear. If you feed it and heal it and pet it it will be happy and make friends with Scratch.

I tried to get the owlbear, told it to go to my camp, wouldn't until I killed the goblins.
Killed them all and the Owlbear was nowhere to be found

You killed the mother? I left them in the cave and raided the goblin and when all goblins were dead the cub waited for me outside the goblin place to join me to camp.

If you messed up you can always just take the egg. Their is a lady in mountain pass who wants to buy another egg but if you give her this egg then the cub will arrive at the camp next time you rest

I have been sent here by the most average crying reddit user.
As far as i can tell from a number of tests iv solved the "issue".

The issue appears to arise if you "leave" the cave at any point after entering it. Even if its going to the camp from the cave itself to swap to a different party member as far as i can tell the game flags the line as complete because you "left" them in peace.
If you're ever concerned it may not trigger just save and end the day right then and there and sleep. Upon leaving camp to enter the cave the owlbear should have moved.

If not then something has happened but as long as you dealt with the mother without leaving the cave or entering your own camp you SHOULD be good.

If not just reply and ill test further but from what iv tried with all the different dialogue options. Animal speak and not. Its as easy to avoid as dont leave without killing her.
