Did I ruin recruiting Karlach?
I killed all the druids in the grove and got a bunch of tieflings killed in the grove before I ever met her then when I finally found her we had one conversation and she told me to eff off accusing me of killing the tieflings. Now she won't say anything to me. Do I gotta reload before starting the druid fight?

Yes.

Probably, she is a "good aligned" character. She will leave your party if you want to massacre the tieflings.

Yes. You effed up.

Yes, why would the one truly good hearted companion want to hang out with a murderous psychopath?

To be clear, reloading won't work. You have to help the druids. If you recruit her and then kill them? She leaves.

I never played the early access so I had no way of knowing she was good aligned or that killing the druids would lock me out of being able to recruit her.

She wasn't recruitable in early access, so it wouldn't have helped really.

Yes

Yes, and this wouldn't be such bad thing if lae'zael was a tad stronger.

Karlach is just a beast and absolutely destroys in melee.

Karlach outperforms Lae'zel in every way and her ambient dialogue is less annoying. She's a must have.

Guys, I have a similar problem. I cut off Karlach's head. Did I ruin recruiting Karlach?

Which build are you playing with Karlach and Lae'zel? My Lae'zel is the linchpin of my party. She just ♥♥♥♥♥. Karlach though, she is fun to play with but he is doesn't even compare against Lae'zel.

I built Lae'zel using battle master(?), the maneuver fighter archetype. With trip and disarm being the bread and butter. Karlach I've tried the animal aspect archetype(tried with several aspects) and the berserker archetype. She is good, but not as strong as a fighter.

Luckily I had saved just before fighting the druids so I just reloaded it. I list about 3 or 4 hours of progress but I saw that missed a bunch of stuff by starting that fight any ways so its worth the time lost and a party member gained.

I do love how the "truly good hearted companion" is perfectly fine with eating soul coins so she can hit harder, destroying the souls in question, but will absolutely see you as a monster if you kill somebody which still leaves their soul intact

Well when the "good-heart" in question is made out of demon metal and forged in the blood of dead orphans you kind of have to make some concessions.
