Gale can't learn the spells to communicate with the dead?

All other scrolls, it seems, can be studied, but these scrolls cannot.

It's a Bard / Cleric spell in 5e IIRC.
You can still give him the amulet of Speak with the Dead tho.

It can be a little confusing if you are not familiar with D&D, but there are various spell lists - speak with dead is only on the cleric one.
Meaning it's only clerics ( and some bards ) that can learn it.

If you didn't destory the necromancer book he can learn it if he can pass a DC 10, DC 15 & DC20 WIS? save. (by reading successive pages)

Or you can just give him the necklace that lets him cast it

can learn it with a feat(ritual casting), a quest in EARLY act 1 to get it permanently on "any" character, or a necklace with a reusable variant of it in early act 1. Dont waste gales spell slot on it

Because the spell stays active until you take a long rest. Cast it after sleeping and just use it from the hotkey tray.

it actually doesnt, you can re-cast it infinitely afterward - it should be on the right part of the hotbar

After casting it you can keep using it until you take a long rest. After you'll just have to cast it again. The icon will be greyed out after the first cast but a new one will pop up on the right of your action bar that casts it again.
