Report a translation problem
Martial classes such as ranger, fighter, barbarian and paladin gain a second attack they can use on a single action at level 5. You cannot use that same action to make an attack and then do something else, it has to be dedicated to attacking
D&D Beyond has a free starter set of 5e rules if you wish to learn more about how the game works with combat
You do get an additional attack with martial classes though.

-get a second action from haste/potion of speed
-get a third one from action surge once per short rest
-get a four one from elixir of blooblust on a kill, once per turn (very likely having in mind that every action use on an attack gives you one additional attack)
If only attacking, translate to attacks, those are 8 attacks per turn. If you add heavy weapon mastery you can also use your bonus action for an additional attack on a kill/crit, for a total of 9 attacks per turn
