Owlbear interaction question

Is there any way to avoid killing the owlbear? i just want the spear... Ive killed all the goblins unless the game spawns new ones after the owl bear interaction?? please let me know

You don't have to kill the owlbear. But I think the only possible way to get the spear is to kill it unfortunately.

I just left it alone after shouting at it.

Ive killed the goblins will they still kill the owlbear after ive interacted with it?

What goblins? Maybe we're talking about different things. Far as I know, unless you kill the owlbear yourself or encourage the two cultists to avenge their friend by attacking the owlbear in it's cave, it is left alone. And you only get the spear by killing it?

Ohh i read online that if you interact with it and leave the cave, goblins kill the owl bear then you can find the cub in the celebration. Can you pick pocket animals? HAHA I want the spear so bad but im struggling morally cuz of the cub.
