Tempest Domain
I really like the flavor of the tempest domain cleric, but in 5e it's pretty hamstrung by a lack of lightning damage options available for the cleric. Is there a way to get reliable lightning damage on a tempest cleric in BG3 whether it's through spells or weapons?

take levels in storm sorcerer, or just level wizard and learn all the lightning spells

Take a 1 level dip in Wizard.
This gives you the ability to learn any spell you want from scrolls.
Both classes are full casters so your spell slot progression won't fall behind either.

The lightning charge set adds a small amount of lightning damage to all damage you do as long as you have the charges

If you are going to dip into wizard it's usually better to take 2 or 4 levels.

2) you get a wizard subclass, evocation's sculpt spells nuke your frontliners with impunity - the enemies will usually cluster around them anyway.
4) This way you dont delay your feat/ASI progression - though once you hit level 10, I'd respec back to 8/2 if there is a level perk in clerick you want

You get Call Lightning at some point which lets you recast as an action for 10 turns as long as you maintain concentration.

You can also go a few levels in fighter Eldridge knight for chromatic orb, witch bolt, thunder wave, and shatter.

See my Thor build I posted earlier

You’ll get call lightning at level 5 tempest cleric, anyways though
