Steam Cloud stuck on uploading
Tried to launch the game then it made me choose from steam cloud and my local save. Cloud was from 8/4 while my local save was from last night at 9pm. I chose local save and then now its stuck on uploading after warning me i could lose all my game progress?

Mine is stuck on uploading 100% constantly... unless I turn it off.

Hello,

I have the same problem.

I've posted a message for Steam's development department to find a solution. You can share your experience of the problem and support my request by using this link:

The more you support and testify to my request, the more likely Steam will work on a solution.

Keep in mind if you Quicksave often, a new save is made. I read posts of players having over 200 saves and if you have cloud saving enabled those saves need to be sent to the cloud.
All in all i am not saying dont save often, but before you close the game delete all those old quicksaves

The problem isn't related to the number of saves (the default setting only generates a maximum of 50), which would just take up space on your cloud storage, but it's above all about managing to send the saves to the cloud.

Personally, I'm obliged to manually restart the sending of the savegame many times before the synchronization finishes correctly and I can start a new game session.

I am just speaking from experience too. I once had too many saves and cloud sync took a hell allot of time to finish and now i keep at most 3 new saves and sync finishes in less than 30 secs

When I have more than 2, it crashes... :(

This is not normal, and that's why I'm asking the developers to help us fix this problem.

Today's hotfix is supposed to fix the issue. Good luck!

Hello,

I had a glimmer of hope when I read your message, followed by doubt when I read the change log.

Then a cruel disappointment when I tried to synchronize 4 backups...

That said, it's logical. To solve this problem, the publisher would have to reduce the size of its saves to a maximum of 7 MB, or Steam would have to modify its program so that there is no disconnection when the synchronization is too long.

Is it stuck or do you just have a LOT of data to upload. I'm at about 170 save files. And they get bigger and bigger with each game.

The save file size WAS limited at launch and it caused save games to fail. You can't add data and also truncate. There is so much compression can do too. So they unlocked file sizes to allow people to play the ENTIRE game if they choose.

The size of each file (around 17 MB per backup) is precisely the problem. When you have a slow Upload, you get disconnected after a while by the host, which prevents you from completing the synchronization.

I give more explanation on this message :

Are you perhaps playing with this Nvidia New, Mew, whatever it's called cloud? Cause I read somewhere that's severely restricted.

I don't know what you're referring to? Can you give me more details?

This is also happening to me and I have pretty good upload speed. I would love to see this addressed as it's hard to play both on my PC and Steam Deck
