Starting romance in ACT 2

So im trying to romance Karlach but I missed Dammon in Act 1 but founded him again in act 2 and found the materials to cool her down but Im still friendzoned. Do I messed this up or i need to progress the game further? I do have high approval with her.

romance is so confusing. wyll and gale have expressed interest but im in act 2 and ive only ever done something with astarion so far. all of them high approval too

I also didnt flirt with her at the camp when there was party with refugees because i didnt had her approval high enough at the time. Also Im playing as Male Human but not sure if thats relevant. Also every character flirted with me at some point but not Karlach. I swear I always have to get rejected every time.

i think you have to flirt with her for sure. i stopped laezels advance and it was never brought up again

You're not friend zoned. She just doesn't want to burn you to a crisp. She's very obviously horny as hell and would jump a tree if she could do so without it burning to ash halfway through rubbing one off.

The thing is i didnt had any scene with her that had anything to do with romance even before her quest. And I did already colled her off and huged her but still it feels like there is no romance.

If thats the case then thats sucks. I didnt expected a romance to be so confusing in this game like how was I supposed to know that one little party at the beggining of the game is the only way to start it. Couldnt they do it like in Mass Effect where you literally have spend time with certian character until that character opens up to you. Now im pondering if I should go with Lae'zel romance from one hour ago to load the save or continue to trying romance karlach with a risk of having maidenless playtrough.

I’m currently stuck with this too cause I completed her companion quest and didn’t have her recruited for the party so I didn’t even get to flirt with her so I just fully locked myself out of anything and the game being designed this way is pretty ludicrous and could’ve given you more warning

yea I loaded a save way back before goblin camp and made her approval higher and finished her quest and suprise suprise now everything works so if you somehow missed one line at the party then you are fu**ed no matter what happens next, which is the dumbest way to implement romance in a video game I ever saw. I dont know if its the case for all companions or just Karlach but Gale was flirting with me all the time even tho i rejected him like 4 times I thought there would be simmilar thing with Karlach but after realising that I missed bunch of cutscenes I knew that somethign was wrong. Basically you have recruit her as soon as possible find Dammon with Karlach and have her approval high before killing goblin leaders or Romance is gone even if she likes you later in the game. Maybe its just a bug with this specific romance. I also started second campaing as Dark Urge while being as good as it is possible and trying to resist the urges and man whole game feels like totally different experience.
