Why did Alfira join my camp?

I started a 2-nd character, and I did almost everything the same as I did with my 1-st one. And suddenly Alfira wants to join my camp, because I inspired her. Well, I inspired her with my 1-st character as well, but she didn't join my camp...
I think I used the same dialogue options both times... there are only 3 noticable differences:
1 - I'm playing on tactician difficulty. But this shouldn't matter for the story, should it?
2 - I'm playing The Dark Urge. This one is more likely to affect the outcome, as Alfira may be tied to the Dark Urge's story.
3 - I have recruited Wyll to my camp. This one may also be a valid reason, with the same motives as (2), but for Wyll instead.
