lower city

I try to enter lower city and it says a party member is not ready to proceed but can't figure out why, so i teleport to lower city instead but now karlach is just sleeping on the floor?

Having this exact same issue. Miz is hanging out right outside and tells me to go up and see gortash, but when I do, he and like 30 other mobs aggro and I can't take them on even in the lower difficulty. I've advanced all quests in rivington up to the point where i need to enter lower city, but i can't

i managed to get to lover city by doing the tempel quest (the alms tempel whit murderd head priest) till i found the murder list in flop house past first chekpoint and talk to the flying elphant in the brothel hell giv a dilog option to the guards att the draw bridge for reporting to some one and let u through

I had a bug with Karlach.

After the inauguration of lord Gortash in Act 3, Karlach wanted to kill him right away. I didn't manage to persuade her to not do this and guards imprisoned her.
And after I freed her, by killing all the guards in prison, she bugged: I wanted to go to lower city for the first time, but I received the message, that somebody of my party member isn't ready.

Karlach couldn't teleport and I figured out, that the game thought, that she is still in dangerous area (as if I was in red circle area on the map), because of that she couldn't teleport to the camp and couldn't go to other location (lower city in that case).

I went to Barn at the start of Rivington location and let Karlach imprison her once again. And only after I pick locked the door of the cell and freed myself as Karlach from prison, this bug was gone (or just steal something in front of guard).

It took me about 2 hours to figure out, what the hell is going on and wether this is a gamebreaking bug or not. Fortunatelly not).

I don't know if this helps, but hope so.

Had that bug with Astarion a few days ago, fixed after a long rest.

I have the same issue, but I`m not sure where Ambar is or how to get imprisoned. Can anyone explain?

Steal something in front of some guard, for example.

Unfortunatly that didnÄt fix it for me. Currently don't know how to proceed.

This helped massively, thank you! I was stuck on my first playthrough and I couldn't figure out what was keeping me from progressing and it was frustrating, but this was exactly the issue.

For additional details, I'd already done everything in the prison, so I got Karlach arrested by failing to pickpocket a guard, opened the prison cell door with the key I already had, waited for the Fugitive status to fade, and then just walked out.

I'm having the same bug. Karlach got imprisoned and i got her out with my mc, but that doesn't work. I got arrested again with Karlach and the Skull in the Prison helped me to get out. Doesn't work either. Imprisoned again, lockpicking myself out, you know the answer. Very frustrating.
But in the meantime i've started my dark urge run.
