Who are castrated men for?
Faerun is a matriarchy now apparently, with most positions of power being held by women. The remaining men are all eunuchs. Just take the companions:
Astarion: flamboyant gay man personality
Wyll: cuckhold to some devil woman
Gale: wet rag, also cuckhold to some goddess
The women companions are all brave, stunning and fierce of course.
Who is into this? This seems so fetishistic.
I'm sure the straight men would like to see decent, strong male characters. I can vouch that the gays would too. I'm sure the women would like that too. So who are these characters for? They sure aren't for the majority of the players.
I totally understand that they want to make women appear stronger than they really are, to boost their confidence or whatever. But why drag down men? Why is there no decent male hero in this game? It must be on purpose.

it doesnt bother me personally, but indeed the only strong "manly" companions are Lae and Karlach, while males are pretty much how you described them

Kill/kick/never recruit all male companions - enjoy the game.

I am worried they'll put some extra companions in DLC. Some Arnie style Barbarian and some empathetic caring female character (Unless I'm not far enough in to see these represented yet).

Halsin's a companion, and he's pretty solidly manly. At least in my opinion. But I also didn't really think about any of the bits besides Astarion, so uh. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Back on topic. Halsin's strong, both literally and metaphorically, and is the leader of the Druid's Grove.
I think the druids are lame, but Halsin was pretty cool.
Plus the infamous bear scene, which y'know.

Is a thing.

Gale is a Wizard. Wizard's are the most powerful class in D&D. He's the corporate CEO and you want him to be a common bouncer at a nigjtclub.

Astarion is a noble in Baldur's Gate, and he's a vampire. He literally gets to play as a monster, something not normally allowed in D&D.

Can't really say much for Wyll as I don't really like him much.

Halsin is absolutely massive, especially for an elf.

I think you've got other problems goin' on.

With all due respect they didn't drag the men down to raise the women. This is about wanting a certain type of man that isn't present and that is a far cry from dragging anyone down. Once again according to your preference that their are no decent men. If I wanted a soft warm supportive women am I getting that from the women in this? No.

So can we stop pretending everything is agenda driven just because it gets people riled up and it suits your argument.

He's not playable though, does not have a very strong story. But yeah, I guess he is a good role model. He is an exception to the rule though.

Why would I do that? I like playing men and with men. So your solution is to just ban men altogether?

In the prologue, apparently you've been transported across multiverses, because they picked you up in the regular realm, but everyone else might have been picked up in the kookoo realm, and you are now stuck in one.
Halsin and Minsc should win you over if you need big strong men in your life. Though you might argue that Minsc is cuckloded to Boo.

Edit: Oh wait, I remember your name. There's no point in talking to this guy, he's just here to stir things up again.

Valid to a degree, if you mean playable from the start.
But hey, look at it this way.
Means your custom character can be a Chad in a world of cuckold twinks. Roll around with Halsin, Minsc, and that one half-orc hireling and crush all opposition.
