Interesting, so technically, similar to Fallout 3 (or was it 4) I could totally wonder into an area way overclassed for my characters?
With the way the game is built, probably not "way" overclassed, but if you are an explorer and adept at going off the beaten path, you can find your ways into some really difficult encounters much earlier than you should. Not to say they would be impossible, but very difficult. I beat a level 5 boss encounter with a level 3 party for example.
What are you smoking?
The only thing that scales in BG3 are vendor items.
