That's fookin' hilaripus bruh, welcome to Wild Magic
Fun fact: I haven't tested this in BG3 yet, but if you multiclassed as an Evocation Wizard/Wild Magic Sorcerer in 5e, then the Evo Wizard's feature Sculpt Spell would also apply to your Wild Fireball!
I think that every spell level should have it's own Wild Magic table.
Fireballimg ypurself and tpk'ing the party just results in a reload. While it's good for a laugh the first couple times, after that it's justbstupid.
You shouldn't be able to accidentally Fireball yourself unless you are actually high enough level to cast Fireball.
In fact, I would replace that effect with: "Cast a random spell from the list of spells you already know, targeting and centered on yourself. Spells that cannot target you or center on you will be ignored.ç
So, like, you could totally Hold Person yourself, or Sleep yourself, or Magic Missile yourself, or even possibly cast a buff on yourself. As long as the spell can be targeted or is an AoE spell and is already in your repertoire, it would be fair game.
I main wild mage and I can safely say: I have seen worse.
