Owlcat got away with it in WotR due to mythic classes haveing huge numbers or op ablitys the first game was very meh in the you spend more time buffing for fights than some of them would take lol
don t reroll companions. don t use barbarian. those help a tad, even if it s still too easy.
barb is just too tanky for the amount of dmg he does, i stopped playing mid act 2 as a barb and rerolled as monk to see if the game gets better
as it is BG 3 tactician is not even equal to pathfinder core/challenging and a farcry from that game last two difficulties
even DOS 2 tactician was much harder
I think its true. I'm lvl 9 and not visited moonrise yet
kingmaker did not have mythic abilities and difficulty wise it s one thousand times more enjoyable than facerolling in BG 3. which is a pity because the game is a AMAZING otherwise, i just hope a mod fix it, IMO martials are just way too strong
Explain to me how to win the fight against the Goblins and Wargs torturing the gnome in Act 1 on Tactician??? PLEASE, upload a vid of you "owning" this fight, or doing anything but scraping by with a bloody win. (I'm just going to preemptively LOL you though, anyway.)
how are you struggling. thats the question. There is not a single fight in act 1 that should give you difficulty.
Im struggling how you even had a hard time with goblins and wargs tbh, i dont even remember the fight thats how trivial it was. I just proessed buttons and everything ded.
Im in act 3 btw my achievements show it. Also i stream the game on steam earlier u can watch me play . ez pz.
Literally started on tactician, it says it in the menu...wtf are u on about.
You need to buff your martials up, they should always try to have advantage, and always haste in the more difficult fights.
Its also helpful to give them elixirs as well.
I usually go for stuff that gives an extra spell slot for my pally for more smites, and my barb i just give whatever it feels like the fight needs, usually try and go for spell save stuff. or pure damage stuff like bonus to attack rolls or some such.
Hold person, hold monster, always good spells if u have cleric/bard/sorc etc...
oh and if they are using two handers get great weapon master, but make sure always advantage.
Also, on tactician just examine the enemies and be clear of your needed rolls....ez pz.
i want it. i still cope that maybe it'll unlock once i finish a tactician playthrough lol
i savescum too much for my own good as it is, if someone had the list of my checks they would see i passed every single one of them, with 8-8-8 int/wis/cha. sus ;)
Why?
Frankly, I see people here who played the snot out of early access, know the rules like the back of their hand, only choose the most number-crunchedly optimal builds, and explore *everything* so that they’re a level or two above average. Obviously you’re going to have an easier time of it than the bulk of people. If Larian balanced the game around *your* skill level the game wouldn’t have 800k concurrent players.
I’m not saying that the game shouldn’t have a harder difficulty to accommodate people like that, but the game is just obviously not *too “ez”* in some objective sense.
only for my sorc. so he can get range on haste, im level 11 and i barely started baldurs gate haha
